FAQ

What songs do you play?
We are a party band, focused on keeping your dance floor full. We have a variety of cover songs we have tried and tested as a party band since 2014. Please look through our set list which is growing all the time. You can request specific songs but we do tailor our set to your event anyway by adapting to the room to ensure we are playing the songs that your audience will enjoy.
What is the band lineup?
As standard we play as an electric 4 piece band including vocals, guitars, keys, bass & drums. We can also also provide an acoustic act, which is often a good idea for daytime entertainment or outdoor drinks.
Who are Satellite Down?
Satellite Down are a group of professional, friendly musicians with experience playing in a huge variety of venues throughout the country. We have been in a band together since 2014 but performing in different groups together for much longer.
How many sets do you perform?
We usually perform 2 sets. 1 hr & 1.5hrs
Where do you perform?
We are based in the Midlands, Worcestershire but play throughout the country. Please get in touch to discuss your location.
What happens in between the band sets?
We can play party music through our sound system via ipod or laptop. We can organise this or feel free to compile your own playlists or requests if you like.
What about sound & lights?
We travel with our own professional sound system & lighting, which is already included in the price. Our system includes a 4K speaker setup, a 16 channel digital mixing desk and high quality microphones for a clear sound. It is unlikely to be required but for larger audiences (350+ guests) we can offer an extended PA system and extra lights. A larger set up may come with additional cost.
Do we need to provide the band with anything?
We ask for a safe environment with power supply. Soft drinks would be appreciated where possible, but not a must and it is important to provide us adequate space to fit our sound system and the band with instruments. A little space to perform makes a huge difference.
Do you offer a DJ option?
We have worked with great DJ's who can fill the gaps between live sets and keep your guests on the dance floor until the early hours. You may not require this but if you want to extend the party we are happy to help get this organised.
How long do you need to set up?
We usually ask for just over 1 hour to be set up and sound checked, depending on access. We usually arrive at 5:45pm and pack up at 12pm.
Can you set up early?
Yes, if necessary we can accommodate an extra early setup but additional fees may apply. At a typical evening event we usually arrive at the venue for 5:45pm to set up and sound check ahead of evening guests to arriving at 7pm
Can we use a mic for speeches?
Yes, of course. Once the band is set up and sound checked we can provide you with a microphone for speeches. Alternatively we can provide support in the daytime with speakers, sound and background music if you wish to have this included within your package.
